Last Updated: May 17, 2024
Welcome to Byte Back ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services (collectively, the "Services"). Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect includes:
- Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and contact details, that you voluntarily give to us when you register for an account or interact with our Services. For businesses, this may include business name, contact information, and Stripe Account ID. For users, this includes email used for linking subscriptions and Stripe Express Account ID for payouts.
- Financial Data (via Stripe): We integrate with Stripe for payment processing (for businesses) and cashback payouts (for users). We do not directly store your full credit card numbers or bank account details. When you connect your Stripe account (for businesses) or Stripe Express account (for users), Stripe provides us with tokens or identifiers (like Stripe Customer ID, Stripe Account ID) to process transactions and verify subscription status. You are also subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Subscription Information: When users link their SaaS subscriptions, we collect information related to those subscriptions, such as the service provider (our partner business), subscription status, billing cycle, and amounts, primarily through Stripe APIs. This is essential for calculating and processing cashback.
- Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Services, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Services.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies to help customize the Services and improve your experience. For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

- With Partner Businesses: To verify your subscription status and facilitate the cashback program, we may share necessary information (such as your linked email or a Stripe Customer ID relevant to that business) with the SaaS businesses you link through our platform. - Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- With Your Consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
